Crunchy Granola

Snap, Crackle, CRUNCH 



5 cups rolled oats 

1 cups almonds - I prefer slivered 

⅓ cup brown sugar 

1 tsp cinnamon 

½ tsp salt 

1 cup dried apricots - chopped

1 cup dried cherries - chopped 

½ cup honey

1 egg white


Mix everything together. Spread it onto a baking tray and pack it down together - this helps with the clumps and crunch. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 30 minutes, but remove it at the 15 minute mark to slightly break it up so the middle bakes evenly with the edges, then push it all back together and continue baking. Once it is golden brown (increase cooking time by 5 minutes increments if need be) let cool for at least an hour before you break it up into crunchy chunks.
