Mini Pretend Snickerdoodles

For those with barren cream of tarter cabinets 



2 ½ cups flour 

2 tsp baking powder 

¾ tsp salt 

2 sticks softened butter 

1 ¼ cup sugar 

1 egg

1 egg yolk 


Whisk the dry in one bowl. Beat the butter + sugar until it is creamy in another bowl. Add in the eggs. Slowly incorporate the dry in. Roll into 1/2oz balls and roll in cinnamon sugar. Bake in a 350 oven for 7-8 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown. 


If you want a heart imprint, as soon as the cookies come out of the oven, stamp the tops with a tiny heart cookie cutter so it leaves an imprint.
