Molasses is my sugar love. She’s my liquid sweetener of choice and I love her to death. Which is why I like brown sugar, it’s got the molasses vibes I’m seeking. While I was rolling out these cookies I thought - these would be good stuffed w/ jam. And they are. With this recipe you can make half without jam and half with. I ate mine for breakfast because jam is a breakfast food.

Brown Sugar Cookies:

1 ¾ cup flour

½ cup sugar

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

2 TB honey

½ cup canola oil

¼ cup + 2 TB milk (any variety).

Mix all the dry together and then add all the wet. Scoop the half the dough as is, flatten, sprinkle with raw sugar + salt and bake at 350 12 minutes. The other half roll into balls + flatten a lot. Then place a tablespoon of your favorite jam in the middle. Roll it back up + do not flatten, but still top with raw sugar + salt. Bake 17 minutes.
