Everything in this recipe is going to prepare you for the season. Use it on everything, that’s what I do.
Pumpkin Compote:
4 cups pumpkin puree
½ cup maple syrup
1 green apple (food process it so it’s like a purée)
1 cup orange juice
½ tsp freshly grated ginger
1 TB cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp clove
Add all ingredients to a pot, whisk to combine and bring to a simmer. Let it simmer about ten minutes until it starts to thicken. Remove from heat and enjoy!
