Jam Bar

There’s nothing like a fruit jam. I can eat jam by the spoonful, but let’s be civilized and put it between some butter + sugar instead. 

1 ¾ cups flour

½  cup white sugar

¾ cups light brown sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 stick butter - softened 

½ cup milk 

1 cup jam 

Mix together the dry ingredients. Add in the butter and then the milk until it forms a dough. Divide the dough into 2. Into a lined 9x9 pan press 1 of the dough balls. Bake 10 min. Top w/ the one cup of jam. Then crumble remaining dough on top. Bake 15 more minutes.

Dust with powdered sugar if your heart asks for it.
