Go ahead and ditch the candles - this recipe alone will make your home smell like fall will never leave.

11 TB butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ⅓ cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
Plum compote - or whatever jam you have laying around (I had plums leftover so I made a quick compote)
Using room temp butter mix it together with the brown sugar + the eggs. Then add in the rest of the ingredients, forming into a dough. Reserve ¼ of the dough. Press the rest of it into a parchment lined 9x9 and bake for 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Once it’s done top with 1 cup compote or jam of your choice. Sprinkle the remainder of the dough on top. Bake another 40 minutes.
Enjoy!
